A Red-trospective

As Fall Quilt Market is coming at us like a speeding locomotive, we, meaning the folks at Marcus Fabrics / Studio 37 and my fellow designers, want to share with you.  Each week has a designated theme and this week's theme is "favorite color". Along with fellow designers Pam Buda ( Heartspun Quilts ) and Karen Styles ( Somerset Patchwork ) my favorite color is RED. Red and green is one of my favorite combinations. ...FullSizeRender

Color Love Block of the Month Coming Soon

Color Love --that's the name of my newest fabric collection with Marcus Fabrics.  Here's my sample yardage all laid out on my cutting table, ready to be put to work. Oh, my pretties! To top it all off...

Getting there . .

This is one of the projects for the upcoming book, Away From Home: The Story of the Lowell Mill Girls , that just kept getting put on the back burner. And because I kept putting it aside, I seemed to loose my momentum. But last week I went to sew with my group and brought along the last of the sashing strips that needed appliqueing. That got me going again. This morning I sewed and...71 square quilt
