Sew Full of Whimsey

The Cotton Patch Quilt Guild of Bakersfield, CA (my local guild) has finished its opportunity quilt.  Lynn Douglass, took on the job of not only coordinating the making of the quilt, but of selecting a design, picking the fabric, and longarm  quilting it.

She purchased the “My Whimsical Garden” pattern from Piece ‘O Cake Designs and combined it with a pieced block from one of my patterns, My Jeweled Flower.  I was lucky enough to get to applique one of the cute little bird blocks.  Tickets are currently for sale.  If you'd like to purchase some for a chance at this fabulous quilt, visit Lynn at her site http://lynndouglass.wordpress.com/  You can also see some great close ups of the blocks and the fabulous quilting she did on them.  You may even want to give Lynn a call and book her to quilt one of your quilts--she is one talented lady!

Here's my quilt, My Jeweled Flower.

And here's what the Cotton Patch Quilt Guild's quilt--Sew Full of Whimsy-- looks like!  The winner of the quilt will be chosen at our quilt show next January.
