Flower Power takes its inspiration from the fun and funky Kaffe Fassett floral and print fabrics by Westminster Fibers. The large appliqué flower blocks with gentle curves for the novice are easily fused in place then finished with a decorative buttonhole stitch in a variety of colorful threads.

The alternating rows of serpentine flower block and simple pieced square-in-a-square blocks are pieced together in a vertical “strippy” layout, reminiscent of quilts made in the mid-1800s. However, Flower Power breaks tradition with its bold colors of red, orange, pink, and burgundy and its funky prints, textures, dots, and stripes.
