2006

In 2006 Christiane Marzi and I collaborated on Amazon Dream. I developed the paper pieced design using Electric Quilt, then Christiane and I pooled our stashes and hand dyed some fabric to develop the fabric palette. We only had to purchase fabric for the dark blue background and the backing. Christiane and I did all of the sewing, Chantel Gardner, a local longarmer did the custom quilting using a variety of threads, then Christiane and I finished it up with a piped edge binding, Swarovski crystals, buttons, and beads. Roger, Christiane's husband, gave the quilt its name. Because Christiane and I had such a great time making Amazon Dream, we are now working on another EQ designed project!

Awards:

• 2006 2nd Place - group category "Do You EQ?"on tour with a special exhibit of prize winners for the next year.
