Introducing Our "Quickie" Block-of-the-Month - French Market Medallion

You spoke, we listened. Because so many of you responded with requests for a BOM that didn't take the usual twelve months, I've designed a THREE month block of the month "quickie."

French Market Medallion is a 47" square quilt that will look great as a wallhanging or table topper. You'll begin by making the center star the first month. The second month you'll complete four sawtooth blocks and some strip pieced borders. The third and final month will be the most work because you'll make the square-in-a-square border, add the outer floral border, and –hopefully – quilt it and bind it so you'll have a lovely quilt completed by Christmas. You can use your French Market Medallion as a bit of non-traditional holiday decor, or give it as a gift. Or make two – one to keep and one to share.

The fabric we're using is from the French Quarter collection designed by Paula Barnes of Bonnie Blue Quilts for Marcus Fabrics. If you'd like to see swatches, simply click on this link to Marcus's website.

Also, I thought we'd try something a little different with the BOM fabric kits to see how it works. Instead of sending you an electronic invoice each month, I thought I'd get your credit card info up front. Then, when I ship your fabric kit each month I'll simply charge your credit card. That way you won't have to be bothered – your fabric kit will just arrive at the beginning of each month for three months!
