I know it's cliche', but "Pinch me! I can't believe this is happening!"

Over a year ago my husband, Oliver, and I came up with an idea for a book.  We mulled it over, did some research, made an outline.  Then I ran the idea past Pati Violick, the Marketing Director of Marcus Fabrics. As I ran through my idea with her and was elaborating on all the details, I couldn't help but think --am I crazy?  I don't know anything about writing a book.

After about ten minutes of me doing all the talking, I'd run out of gas.  There was a big empty pause.  Then Pati said, "I think we might be able to get behind it.  Can you send me all the details in writing?"

So that was where it began.  Since then, we've found the perfect publisher, Kansas City Star.
